About the festival

The Jeungpyeong Ginseng Valley Festival is a representative local festival held every autumn in Jeungpyeong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, featuring a comprehensive cultural festival that combines various cultural and artistic performances, experience programs, exhibitions, and competitions. Jeungpyeong, which accounts for about two-thirds of ginseng production in Chungbuk and has established itself as the home of ginseng, has grown as a center for ginseng cultivation and distribution for a long time, and through this festival, it promotes the excellence of its local specialties, ginseng and Hong Sam Pork, not only nationwide but also globally. Major programs include the 'Inmaek Party (Ginseng + Beer)' where participants enjoy ginseng and beer along with EDM music, the 'International Youth Festival' with participation from domestic and international youth, the 'National Ginseng Song Festival' that encompasses all generations, and the 'National Busking Festival' where various genres of performances can be enjoyed. During the festival period, spectacular fireworks are also held daily, providing special memories for the audience. Additionally, various themed experience zones such as 'Children's Family Experience Zone' and 'Health Experience Zone' are prepared, along with on-site auctions for agricultural specialties and traditional wrestling events, making it a sensory satisfaction experience festival that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can participate in and enjoy. With the steady increase in foreign tourists every year, it continues to grow into a global festival, significantly contributing to the promotion of local agricultural products and revitalization of the local economy, and has been designated as a promising festival by Chungcheongbuk-do in 2025, recognizing its value.
