About the festival

The Silla Cultural Festival, which began its first event in 1962, celebrates its 53rd edition this year. With Woljeonggyo Bridge as the backdrop, it features the Hwabaek Festival that reenacts the splendid history of Silla, a street arts festival showcasing dazzling performances by numerous artists, and the Silk Road Festa filled with diverse content. The Hwarang Hip Hop Festa, set against ancient tombs, presents performances by top domestic hip hop artists, offering a unique landscape that can only be seen in Gyeongju. The romantic night market, Dalbit Nanjang, adds to the enjoyment as local merchants participate to showcase the flavors of Gyeongju. The Silla Cultural Festival, representing the millennium-old city of Gyeongju, provides a special moment where history and art come together.
