About the festival
The 47th Soyanggang Cultural Festival aims to discover the unique local culture of Chuncheon.·It is a regional cultural festival held to create a space for harmony where traditions are passed down and citizens can enjoy together. It will take place from October 17 to 18, 2026, at Chuncheon City Hall Plaza, featuring events that showcase Chuncheon's traditional culture, including Yongshin Gut and Udubeol Daedong Cheonryeobnori. There will be street performances and cultural school shows involving citizens, as well as activities for youth.·The festival will include a stage for children's participation, invited performances, and folk art troupe performances, along with random dance, folk games, rice cake pounding experiences, and craft-making activities, allowing citizens to participate directly.·This festival also operates programs that citizens can engage in, designed to allow generations to experience and share the region's traditional culture through various performances and experiences, making it a cultural event.
