About the festival

The Jeongjo Hyowon Cultural Festival, held in the Jeongjo Hyowon Park area, is a representative historical and cultural festival of Hwaseong Special City that embodies historical value and family-friendly elements. Visitors can enjoy various performances and traditional experience programs, with the highlight being the reenactment of the grand epic where King Jeongjo moved his father Crown Prince Sado's tomb to the renowned burial site of Yungneung in Hwaseong City, symbolizing King Jeongjo's deep filial piety. Additionally, on October 4th, the procession reenacting the 1795 Eulmyo Royal Parade will start from Dongtan Central Park, presenting a magnificent spectacle that blends tradition and modernity.
