About the festival
The 22nd Hoengseong Hanwoo Festival is a representative stay-type tourism festival of South Korea held from October 7 to 11, 2026, in the Seomgang Dunchi area of Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. This festival operates under the slogan 'Delicious, Stay, Shine' with the theme 'A Stayful Autumn, A Shining City of Taste, Hoengseong!' Its purpose is to promote the excellence and brand competitiveness of Hoengseong Hanwoo nationwide and to revitalize the local economy, organized by the Hoengseong Cultural Tourism Foundation. The festival consists of three themes: food, cultural arts, and experiences, with 14 programs. It operates as a time-expanding festival that connects daytime (10:00~18:00) and nighttime (18:00~21:00) programs to extend the stay duration, and it is a win-win festival where local merchants, farmers, and residents participate together.
