About the festival
The '2026 Dangjin Hae-Naru Hwangto Sweet Potato Promotion Event' allows visitors to enjoy the representative agricultural specialty of Dangjin, Chungnam, through all five senses. This excellent regional festival, filled with the abundance and sweetness of autumn, started its first session in 2018 and is now approaching its 9th event. Grown in excellent hwangto soil that breathes diverse microorganisms and exposed to the sea breeze of the Seo-Coast, Hae-Naru sweet potatoes boast outstanding sweetness and a fluffy texture, making them beloved by many consumers. The event site will feature a variety of programs enjoyable for people of all ages. From a direct trading market where freshly harvested hwangto sweet potatoes can be purchased at lower prices than in stores, to food booths offering sweet potato fries, and sweet potato digging activities for children, a rich array of experiences will be provided. Additionally, a sales exhibition for various excellent local specialties from Dangjin and cultural performances will create an even more abundant visual feast. It is the best autumn festival where families and couples can feel the charming rural atmosphere, create sweet memories, and enjoy healthy and delicious sweet potatoes.
