About the festival
The Siheung Wolgok Pogu Festival is a sea festival where visitors can enjoy various port experiences in the sea within the city. It offers vibrant port experiences that blend the city and the sea, along with food made from fresh seasonal seafood caught directly by fishermen, providing unforgettable memories for visitors through a rich program. The representative experience programs include fishing boat boarding, barehanded fishing, and giant shrimp catching, allowing participants to get closer to the sea. The Wolgok Moonlight Concert and the opening and closing fireworks festival, which can be enjoyed by three generations together, are among the popular programs that attract many tourists every year. Additionally, visitors can experience unique port activities such as surprise seafood auctions, dried seafood wholesale markets, and shrimp paste making, which can only be found at the Siheung Wolgok Pogu Festival.
