About the festival
The Pyeongchang Nongak Sanggol Food Festival is held annually in Yongpyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, where the Pyeongchang Dunjeonpyeong Nongak, a representative intangible cultural heritage of Gangwon Province, is being passed down. It has developed into a festival that attracts many tourists as people of all ages can come together and enjoy. This year's festival, themed 'Delicious Sounds of Pyeongchang! The Tasty Mountain Food of Exciting Pyeongchang Nongak,' marks its 6th edition and will showcase a variety of enjoyable activities by integrating the exciting performances and experiences of Pyeongchang Dunjeonpyeong Nongak with local mountain foods. It features a diverse range of food programs, including jar barbecue and skewered grilled food experiences, traditional market soup, and various performances and experiences such as traditional cultural experiences and yard plays, all designed to create a colorful array of activities. The lively rhythms of Nongak and the generous spirit of Pyeongchang combine to offer everyone an unforgettable autumn ambiance of Pyeongchang.
