About the festival
The Yeoncheon Ginseng Festival is an event aimed at widely promoting the excellence of ginseng produced in Yeoncheon-gun and revitalizing local agriculture and agricultural product consumption. Located at 38 degrees north latitude, the Yeoncheon area has a natural environment suitable for ginseng cultivation in terms of latitude, climate, and soil quality, making it an optimal region for cultivating six-year-old ginseng. In particular, the Gyeongseong ginseng variety produced in Yeoncheon is known as a high-quality local specialty. This festival operates various exhibitions, sales, experiences, and food programs based on the historical and commercial value of Yeoncheon ginseng.
