About the festival
The Gwangju-si Namhan-sanseong Cultural Festival, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the construction of the Namhan-sanseong Fortress, will be held from September 18 to 20 at Namhansanseong Provincial Park. This festival serves as a meaningful occasion to reflect on the historical significance and cultural value of the Namhan-sanseong, which is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site, alongside the citizens. During the festival, a variety of performances and stage programs that harmonize tradition and modernity will be presented, along with historical experience programs where participants can directly engage with the history and culture of Namhan-sanseong, interactive programs for citizens to participate and enjoy, and a diverse experiential art market.
