About the festival
The 30th Bupyeong Pungmul Festival is a venue of joy and harmony resonating in the city. The Bupyeong Pungmul Festival, a traditional cultural arts festival representing not only Incheon but also South Korea, has now reached its meaningful 30th anniversary. Since its inception in 1997, the Bupyeong Pungmul Festival has grown into a massive platform for communication, breathing life into our unique traditional rhythms in the midst of the stark urban landscape, uniting citizens and artists. The lively rhythms created by the 22 Dong Pungmul teams, which are the core of the festival, have become a solid foundation that connects all residents. In particular, this 30th festival, held from October 2 to 4, 2026, carries special significance as it reflects on the traditions upheld over the past 30 years and celebrates the new future ahead, unfolding on a scale more grand and splendid than ever before. Additionally, the festival space will be expanded to the Gulpo Stream area, a symbol of Bupyeong's urban regeneration, showcasing new and diverse content.
