About the festival
The Anyang Dance Festival will be held for three days from September 18 to 20 at Pyeongchonjungang Park and Samdeok Park in Anyang. Since its inception in 2000, the Anyang Citizens Festival has been a representative festival of Anyang, attracting around 300,000 visitors each year, and has established itself as a major tourism festival in Gyeonggi-do over the past 23 years. It is a typical citizen participation festival where citizens create, participate, and observe, contributing to the formation of local artist communities and the nurturing of cultural communities with the theme of citizens and their Living Arts content. The slogan 'Let's walk, run, and dance!' aims to promote the perception of 'dance' as a way to freely move the body in a wide range of activities. It encourages the energy and dynamism of citizen artists by uncovering the passion for movement and dance that is latent throughout Anyang. Additionally, the festival aims to become the only region-based K-Dance cultural arts festival in the country, where Anyang citizens and visitors can create a culture of 'dancing together' within the space of Anyang, fostering harmony through 'dance' and 'cultural arts'.
