About the festival
The Cheongdoban-si Festival is a local festival held in Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, centered around Cheongdoban-si, a representative agricultural specialty of the region. Cheongdoban-si is known as a seedless persimmon and is a signature product of Cheongdo. The Cheongdoban-si Festival is organized to promote the excellence of these local agricultural products and introduce various utilization values. The festival features exhibitions and sales related to Cheongdoban-si, as well as desserts and processed foods made from the persimmon, and experiential programs, allowing visitors to engage with Cheongdoban-si in various ways. Additionally, there are performance and competition programs involving local residents and youth, a hands-on space for children, and promotional areas introducing local tourism and policy information. The 2026 Cheongdoban-si Festival will be held from October 16 to 18 at the Cheongdo Outdoor Performance Hall, promoting the uniqueness of "seedless persimmons! Cheongdoban-si" and providing various attractions and activities for families to enjoy a satisfying sensory experience in tourism.
