About the festival
The 2026 Wonju Dancing Carnival is a global K-Dancing festival centered around various dances and performances, including K-POP, created by citizens and participating teams from both domestic and abroad. It provides a platform for communication and enjoyment through dance across generations and borders, featuring competitions in various fields such as K-Street, children's and youth street, silver, lifestyle dance, townships, performances, and free dance. Additionally, it operates various side programs including cultural arts performances that can be enjoyed by all generations, a fringe festival with performances by lifestyle artists and professional invited teams, food booths, food trucks, and a free market. With the slogan 'Dancing City, Lasting Festival', it aims to transform Wonju into a festival city where dance and culture thrive, promoting the revitalization of local cultural arts and the globalization of festivals based on voluntary participation from citizens and international exchanges. The 2026 Wonju Dancing Carnival will be held from September 18 to 20 at the Dancing Performance Hall.
