About the festival
The Uijeongbu Music Theater Festival is an annual performing arts festival held in May in Uijeongbu, a city of culture and arts. Through the Uijeongbu Music Theater Festival, outstanding works from world-class performing groups are invited and presented to the audience, along with a focus on recognized domestic works. Through international invited performances, audiences can experience diverse thoughts and emotions from global artists, while also confirming the present and future of our culture through high-quality performances by domestic artists. Additionally, the outdoor special stage and lobby concert stage serve as open spaces where anyone from amateurs to professional performing groups can participate, creating a venue for many people to come together. Aiming for diversity and popularity, the Uijeongbu Music Theater Festival strives to create an open festival where all performing artists and audiences can participate and enjoy together, while preserving the tradition of performing arts and laying the groundwork for future-oriented creative activities.
