About the festival
The Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF) is a global musical festival held every summer in Daegugwangyeok-si, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. It serves as a global art market that promotes K-musicals worldwide through official invited works, which include a variety of domestic and international musicals, including foreign musicals not previously performed in Korea, and creative support works that showcase the premiere stages of creative musicals discovered through creative support projects. Additionally, it hosts programs such as the University Student Musical Festival, where university students present their works, the Musical Star audition program for youth, and the DIMF Musical Campus, an educational program that supports and nurtures talented musical artists. Through these efforts, the festival aims to establish Daegu as a city of musicals and a hub of the musical industry.
