About the festival
The Siheung Gaetgol Festival is an ecological festival held at Siheung Gaetgol Saengtae Park, the only tidal flat in Gyeonggi-do. It is based on a natural environment where the old salt field site and wetlands are harmonized, offering various programs to relax, learn, and enjoy nature, making it a festival that blends with nature. To protect the natural environment of the ecological park, it is conducted as a car-free festival. Representative programs include the salt pan performance 'Memory of Salt, Dance of Water,' and performances such as Concert in Gaetgol, Salt Warehouse Puppet Theater, Forest Music Festival, and Gaetgol Senior Runway. Additionally, various attractions will be provided, including fantasy hot air balloon experiences, Gaetgol Adventure, Salt Play - Barefoot Salt Path, SEA POOL Party, Jumping Insect Experience, Oneulha Pavilion Gaetgol is My Playground, Salt Field Experience, Slow Post Office, 'Geotja Siheung' Walking Festival, Siheung Salt Field Salt Ritual, Street Arts Festival, Gaetgol National Art Competition, Gaetgol Memory Photo Studio, and Gaetgol Stamp Rally.
