About the festival
The 15th Dunnae Highland Tomato Festival will be held from August 14 to 16 at Hoengseong-gun Dunnaejonghapcheyuk Park under the theme 'Color it with Tomatoes! Cool it with Water Play!' The main program of the festival is 'Find the Golden Ring' held in the tomato pool, where various prizes such as gold rings, accommodation vouchers, local specialty products, and gift sets will be provided. In addition, various experience programs will be operated, including tomato stacking, weight guessing, tomato efficacy OX quiz, water gun tomato shooting, cherry tomato Tanghu-Pavilion making, and four-cut tomato photos. Performance programs will include KBS National Singing Contest, Dunnae Community Self-Governance Program performances, youth Donga-ri performances, and Hidden Singer impersonator performances, providing a variety of attractions. There will also be a water play area with a water slide and air bounce, face painting, and a children's pen-making experience, allowing families and children to enjoy together. At the festival site, local Meokgeo-ri, food trucks, a night market for food, a direct transaction market for local specialty products, and a tomato promotion center will be operated, where fresh Dunnae highland tomatoes can be purchased directly. Additionally, a discount coupon for the luge experience will be provided upon purchasing an admission ticket to enhance visitor satisfaction.
