About the festival
Sumi Village in Yangpyeong is a rural experience and leisure village located in the clear waters of Yangpyeong. It has been selected as the top experience village in South Korea, ranking first in all categories including experience, accommodation, and food in rural tourism evaluations. In 2013, it received the Presidential Award at the 'Korea Rural Village Awards' and offers rural experiences themed around green rural tourism throughout the year. The experiences utilize the village's crops and beautiful natural environment, with exciting programs prepared seasonally. This year, the Yangpyeong Ice Trout Festival will take place, focusing on icefish and trout experiences during winter. The festival site will feature icefish net catching, trout hand catching, as well as fishing spots for icefish and trout. There are also enjoyable experiences such as making pizza, making steamed buns, creating succulent plants, and riding ATVs in the wide fields.
