About the festival
The Dae-gu Chicken and Beer Festival is a summer cultural tourism festival representing Dae-gu, selected as a Local 100 in South Korea for 2026 and designated as a preliminary global festival. It is the largest food and beverage festival in the country, combining 'chicken' and 'beer'. Since its first event in 2013, it has continuously grown, attracting 1 million visitors and significantly contributing to the revitalization of the local economy as well as enhancing Dae-gu's global brand value. Beyond a simple food festival, it offers a rich variety of experiences for visitors through performances, exhibitions, hands-on activities, corporate promotions, and global exchanges. The 2026 Dae-gu Chicken and Beer Festival will be held from July 1 to 5 at Duryu Park. The main venue, 2.28 Freedom Square, will be themed around a water concert combining water play and electronic music, and a 360-degree central stage will be newly introduced. Additionally, various themed spaces such as 'Daeprika Waterpia', 'Chicken and Beer Gathering Club', and 'Chicken Paradise EGG Island' will be created, enhancing the festival atmosphere with sculptures and photo zones in collaboration with artists.
