About the festival
This is a nature and culture fusion festival held in accordance with the blooming period of the azalea (Jindallae) colony spread across the summit of Bisul Mountain, which is a representative spring festival of Daegu Dalseong-gun. Since its inception in 1997, it has widely promoted the region's identity centered around the 'azalea', the symbol of Dalseong-gun, and has established itself as a major cultural tourism festival attracting visitors from all over the country every April. Bisul Mountain, at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, features the largest azalea colony in the country, covering about 300,000 pyeong around the summit, creating a spectacular scene where the entire mountain is dyed pink in spring. Based on this outstanding natural landscape, the festival is enriched with various programs that allow participants to experience the value of nature and combine it with cultural and artistic elements during the azalea blooming period.
