About the festival
The 'Yeongju Heungcheon Namhangang Cherry Blossom Festival', a representative spring festival of Yeongju City in Gyeonggi Province, unfolds splendidly in the Namhangang area, boasting breathtaking natural scenery. This place, historically loved and referred to as 'Yeogang Road', transforms into a dazzling cherry blossom tunnel every spring. In particular, the central area of the festival, Gwi-baek-ri in Heungcheon-myeon, operates as a 'car-free zone' during the event, allowing visitors to safely and leisurely enjoy the cherry blossom ambiance. During the day, they can enjoy a vibrant cherry blossom-themed walking path, and at night, a romantic night cherry blossom experience is offered with the creation of a 'Night Starlight Road' enhanced by soft lighting. Throughout the event venue, there will be various photo zones to capture life moments and special stage performances to elevate the festival's excitement. Additionally, there will be a variety of experience programs for the whole family, a sales area for fresh agricultural products from Yeongju, and delicious food booths, creating a rich spring festival that satisfies all five senses.
