About the festival
The 17th Yuseong Chrysanthemum Festival, selected as the representative festival of Daejeon City since 2022, will be held for 16 days from October 17 to November 1 at Yurim Park. Visitors can experience a variety of exhibitions, activities, and performances that showcase the inherent beauty of chrysanthemums and the characteristics of the science city, Yuseong. This year, the Hanbit Tower, a symbol of the science city, will be newly presented as a chrysanthemum sculpture, and the Astha Chrysanthemum Garden will be expanded to the Yuseong Stream (under Eoeungyo Bridge), while a cosmos path will be created along the Bandoji and Yuseong Stream walking paths to provide a rich autumn flower landscape. Additionally, there will be experiences such as drawing caricature robots, terrarium making, woodworking, chrysanthemum-related programs, and performances by local universities and artists. At night, emotional nighttime content such as moonlight busking, candle garden concerts, wish lanterns, and chrysanthemum cinema will be prepared to create a festival where visitors can linger and enjoy. There will also be a receipt event linked to nearby commercial areas and a gourmet map to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy. Visitors can create special autumn memories at the Yuseong Chrysanthemum Festival, where beautiful chrysanthemums, autumn flowers, science, art, culture, and relaxation come together.
