About the festival
The 2026 Sokcho Summer Festival is a regional representative summer festival held from July 31 to August 2, 2026, at Sokcho Beach in Sokcho-si, Gangwon Province. This event offers dynamic summer content to vacationers and local residents against the backdrop of Sokcho's blue sea and cool beaches. Programs include a retro gaming competition called 'Reply 1988 Arcade', a water gun battle survival event named 'Sokcho Summer Splash Water Run', and 'Summer Groove', where local dance teams and the audience come together. At night, the main stage will be heated up by diverse music performances called 'Beach Sound' and an electronic DJ festival 'Summer Night Electric' that will blow away the midsummer heat. Additionally, free experience programs such as DIY fan and pinwheel making, along with a local food market featuring 14 teams, promote coexistence with the local economy. This festival provides visitors with a perfect summer vacation experience from day to night.
