About the festival

The 6th Gamak-san Flower Star Travel is a representative autumn festival held from September 18 to October 11, 2026, at the summit of Gamak-san in Sinwon-myeon, Geochang-gun, specifically at Byeolbaram Hill. This year's theme is 'A Purple Comma for Me', featuring various performances and experiences that blend with the autumn atmosphere and the natural scenery of Gamak-san. The festival officially begins with an opening ceremony on September 18, which includes pre-show performances, an opening performance, and a tour of the chrysanthemum field. During the festival period, various stages will welcome visitors with busking performances, a sunset hill concert, a congratulatory performance by the Geochang Music Association, and a magic show for children. The experience programs are also abundant. Visitors can receive souvenirs through photo zones, stamp tours, and SNS certification events set up throughout the venue. A slow mailbox will be installed at Byeolbaram Hill, allowing attendees to write letters and receive them before next year's event, providing many attractions. Food is also a major joy of the festival. At the Flower Star Market, where local farmers and businesses participate, visitors can find Geochang specialties and processed goods. Additionally, at the food market operated by the women's associations of Namsang-myeon and Sinwon-myeon, hearty dishes such as bibimbap, soup, pancakes, and tofu kimchi can be enjoyed at affordable prices, while the food truck zone offers convenient snacks like coffee, Sikhye, and hot dogs. Furthermore, for this year's 6th Gamak-san Flower Star Travel, shuttle buses are available for those not using personal vehicles, and for those driving, prior reservations should be made by referring to the website before visiting.
