About the festival
The Namgu Youth Arts Festival, held every September to support the artistic activities of young artists and expand the base of youth culture and arts, returns with new young artists. The 'Fringe FESTA' for small-scale artists will take place from September 1 (Tuesday) to September 4 (Friday) at the Daegu Music Creation Center's Changong Hall, while the 'Youth Arts Festival', featuring large-scale artistic teams, will be held on September 10 (Thursday) and September 11 (Friday) at the Dream Hall of the Daedeok Cultural Center. To encourage more artists to participate, the participation guidelines for local artists have been removed, and practical benefits for performing artists have been further strengthened in the [2026 Namgu Youth Arts Festival], which is free for all and open to those aged 5 and older. The exhibition stage for the '2026 Namgu Youth Arts Festival' will feature 104 young artists from the region's representative art universities, including the College of Fine Arts at Keimyung University, the Department of Fine Arts at Dongseo University, and the Department of Fine Arts at Pusan National University. 'Cheongnyeonjakga_Art Connect', which encompasses various genres of art such as painting, media, visual design, craft design, and webtoons, will be on display for free from August 18 (Tuesday) to September 18 (Friday) at the Daedeok Cultural Center's Exhibition Halls 1-3, and will be closed every Sunday.
