About the festival
The Suwonhwaseong Media Art, held since 2021 against the backdrop of the World Cultural Heritage Suwonhwaseong, will conclude the 2021-2025 season titled 'Mancheonmyeongwol: The Dream of Jeongjo, Becoming Light' and will be newly planned for 2026 under the theme 'Saebitdongrak: Suwonhwaseong, Blooming with Light', welcoming guests with '[Saebit]' and enjoying the night of Suwonhwaseong together with '[Dongrak]'. This night festival implements a large-scale media art that expresses the stories of people transcending time from the construction of the World Cultural Heritage 'Suwonhwaseong' to the present with colorful lights, combining light, video, and performances in the Hwaseo Gate area, along with various experiential and interactive media arts in Jangan Park, providing tourists with abundant sights and activities over an 18-day schedule.
