About the festival
The 2026 Chuncheon Alcohol Festa is a representative traditional liquor and local gourmet festival designed to widely promote the unique charm of Chuncheon, the city of alcohol, and revitalize the stagnant local liquor culture. In particular, this year's event was held as a mini alcohol festa in the complex cultural space Hwadong 2571 in Geunhwa-dong for two days from June 19 to 20, prior to the main event, and received a great response. This event featured a large number of local breweries representing Chuncheon, showcasing a variety of our traditional liquors including takju, distilled spirits, yakju, fruit wines, and craft beers, with tasting opportunities and sales booths where visitors could purchase bottled drinks at reasonable prices, capturing the attention of attendees. Additionally, local gourmet brands and food trucks in Chuncheon were closely linked to provide rich and attractive food pairings that perfectly harmonized with traditional liquors, offering a satisfying experience for all five senses. Beyond a simple drinking gathering, various unique experience programs and side events were held, including a main stage for cultural busking where visitors could actively participate and enjoy. Chuncheon City has received praise for this festival as it has effectively enhanced the brand competitiveness of local breweries and established an important foundation for imprinting differentiated stay-type gourmet tourism content and local lifestyle to tourists visiting Chuncheon.
