About the festival

Launched in 2014, Haksan Madang Geuk Nolla is a representative citizen-created arts festival hosted and organized by the Michuholhaksan Cultural Center in Michuhol-gu, Incheongwangyeok-si, where citizens create and enjoy original plays. It is a lively gathering where residents come together in the community to communicate through culture, sharing performances that reflect local issues and life stories. The festival has evolved into a platform for citizen cultural arts, crossing various artistic expressions such as creative Nanta performances, mask dance dramas, plays, puppet shows, musical dramas, and three-dimensional reading plays. To create a community-led citizen arts festival made by local residents, collaboration among residents, artists, related organizations, and institutions is fostering the growth of community art and the development of local culture.
