About the festival
The 2026 Busan Global Webtoon Festival is a webtoon-specialized festival where webtoon creators, related companies, universities, and citizens participate together. This year marks its 10th edition, and the event will be held from October 30 to November 1, 2026, at the Busan Cultural Contents Complex. The opening ceremony will be attended by webtoon officials and participating creators, and a congratulatory performance by a guest singer is scheduled. During the festival, various participation programs will be operated, including exhibitions of webtoon works, stage programs where creators and citizens collaborate, and a family cartoon drawing contest. Additionally, university booths from webtoon-related institutions and exhibition and experience booths from webtoon companies and organizations will be set up, allowing attendees to explore webtoon creation and related industries in one place. A business consultation program for exchanges between webtoon creators and related companies will also be operated, making it a festival designed for webtoon creators, industry officials, aspiring creators, and citizens to interact through webtoons.
