About the festival

The festival is a celebration of the traditional folk game of Gosaum Nori, which represents agricultural culture. It aims to rediscover the value of Gosaum Nori, characterized by its masculine spirit and proactive nature, creating a space for communication, harmony, and cooperation. Alongside the Lunar New Year, during the folk holiday of Jeongwol Daeboreum, various folk games will be reenacted, including the Great Unity Dan Shim Jool Nori and the Dokkebi Fire Rolling in Otdol Village, making it a representative performance arts festival infused with traditional folk games. This festival contributes to the revitalization of performance arts, the inheritance and development of traditional folk games, and the promotion of local culture, showcasing Gosaum Nori, which is recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of our region.
