About the festival
The Gangneung Noodle Festival is a representative gourmet festival held in Gangneung, a city known for its love of noodle dishes such as Jang Kalguksu, Makguksu, Jjamppong, and Gamja Ongsimi Kalguksu, more than any other region. It has been cherished as the Gangneung Noodle Festival until 2025, and in 2026, to celebrate its 5th edition, the event name was changed to Gangneung Noodle Festival to become more familiar to the public and to reflect regional characteristics in various ways. In 2026, it will take place from October 15 to October 18 for four days at Wolhwageo-ri, featuring a food zone where visitors can taste various noodles from Gangneung, as well as plenty of attractions and activities. Visitors can experience a variety of flavors from famous restaurants in Gangneung to hidden noodle spots in the alleys. With various experiences, exhibitions, competitions, and cooking shows, visitors can fully enjoy the golden autumn of 2026 at Wolhwageo-ri.
