About the festival
Paju Spiel is an outdoor board game festival that recreates the excitement of the world's largest board game festival, Germany's Essen Spiel, in Paju. Operated by the board game company Korea Board Games, it has grown from its first event in 2023 to become a large regional festival with 20,000 participants. This festival takes place in the exotic scenery of the Gyeonggi Future Education Paju Campus, away from the cramped city exhibition halls. Enjoying board games in a beautiful garden under the warm spring sun is the unique identity of Paju Spiel. Board game enthusiasts, beginners, and families can all enjoy it, making it accessible to people of all ages. The fourth Paju Spiel 2026 has established itself as a representative cultural destination in spring, where laughter fills the air with families.
