About the festival
The Gwangju Busking World Cup is an international street performance music festival held in the Dong-gu district of Gwangju. This event features domestic and international street performance artists showcasing a variety of musical performances in a competitive format, with stages for vocals, bands, acoustic acts, and performances across various genres. Participating teams go through preliminary rounds and finals to determine the ultimate winning team, with award winners selected by professional judges. This event, held in various locations throughout Gwangju's urban center, promotes cultural and artistic revitalization using urban spaces and aims to spread street performance culture while contributing to global cultural exchange and tourism activation as an international cultural event.
