About the festival
Paju Fair Book & Culture brings together major publishers, authors, readers, and bookstores in one place, providing a special platform where books are not merely subjects to read but can be explored and enjoyed from new perspectives. It showcases diverse cultural and artistic creations such as performances, exhibitions, and experiences that emerge from the original content of books, thereby expanding the realm of reading culture. Furthermore, it actively introduces excellent K-Books and related content to overseas markets, playing a role in developing global markets. The 2026 Paju Fair Book & Culture will consist of a variety of programs over approximately 10 days. The opening ceremony 'BOOKS ALIVE!' will feature various performances including indie music and dance festivals, as well as a youth dance festival. The book market 'Nan-Geotdeul', with participation from over 290 publishers and bookstores, along with the in-house program 'Nan-Jangpan' and themed exhibitions, will provide a rich array of attractions. Additionally, as part of the youth companion program, there will be a Paju Brewery concert and a listening session 'Let's Just Listen', as well as a 'Book Picnic' experience for renting picnic items. Alongside this, a global publishing and IP business consultation meeting and international forum will be held to promote the scalability of K-Books, with abundant cultural networking programs such as lectures and flea markets taking place throughout the publishing city.
