About the festival
Every June, the Lavender Festival is held at Murung Byeollyucheonji, a complex cultural space transformed from a gray limestone mining site into a place with an emerald lake and fragrant gardens. Against the unique and beautiful backdrop of Murung Byeollyucheonji, visitors can stroll through the expansive lavender garden and enjoy the stunning natural scenery. Especially at night, the landscape lighting creates a different and exotic atmosphere compared to the daytime. Additionally, various performances and experience programs are offered throughout the day and night to enrich the festival, along with special food items and related products utilizing lavender, as well as merchandise from Donghae-si.
