2026 Carbon Neutral Soil Restoration Expo

About the festival

This is an interactive exhibition that expands the value of Gurye's clean soil and eco-friendly agriculture into content related to exhibition, experience, gourmet, performance, and coexistence, allowing visitors to naturally understand and practice the meaning of carbon neutrality by seeing, walking on, touching, and tasting the soil. The macro task of responding to climate change and practicing carbon neutrality has been concretized into a life-close theme of 'soil and agriculture' to induce understanding and voluntary participation from the local community and visitors. Additionally, by linking Gurye's clean soil and eco-friendly agriculture with local wheat, regional agricultural specialties, policies for returning to farming and rural living, and tourism resources of Jiri-san and Seomjin-River, a differentiated exhibition content unique to Gurye has been established. Furthermore, by operating interactive programs that combine walking, experience, gourmet, performance, sales, and stay tourism, it has been structured to allow direct experience of the value and importance of soil. Through this event, a cooperative system is established where local farmers, related organizations, businesses, cultural artists, and residents participate as content providers and event operators, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy and the creation of community value.
