About the festival

This year marks the 5th edition of the original site-specific musical , a representative cultural and artistic performance of Pocheon set against the backdrop of the scenic site Hwa Jeok Yeon, a national treasure of South Korea. In the majestic natural landscape of Hwa Jeok Yeon, the musical features stunning lighting and direction, along with the overwhelming vocal talent of musical actor Hong Ji-min and local Pocheon actors, creating a deeply moving experience. This performance, held at Hwa Jeok Yeon, a historical site where the rain-making ritual was conducted during the Joseon Dynasty and known for its breathtaking beauty, is a reinterpretation of the region's history and cultural value through modern art. A total of 2 performances will be held with free admission for all seats, allowing for a freely accessible viewing experience on-site. It is a meaningful occasion to enjoy a special site-specific musical amidst the beautiful nature of Hwa Jeok Yeon on a late summer night.
