About the festival
The Chiak-san Sweet Potato Festival is an autumn festival that promotes the Chiak-san sweet potato, a local agricultural specialty of the Wonju area, and brings together farmers and consumers. At the agricultural direct transaction market, visitors can meet local agricultural products including Chiak-san sweet potatoes, and there will be opportunities for producers and consumers to interact directly and share the joy of harvest. The festival site offers a variety of food options, and through the reenactment of the Tongsin-Temple procession, attendees can experience aspects of traditional culture. It aims to expand the market for local agricultural products and promote consumption, celebrating the value of farmers while being a festival for local residents and visitors to enjoy together. It is an event where families can feel the autumn atmosphere together.
