About the festival
The 'Yangyang Namdaecheon Cherry Blossom Festival', held in the representative natural space of Namdaecheon in Yangyang, is an emotional festival where one can fully experience the essence of spring amidst the blooming cherry blossoms. Walking slowly along the path lined with cherry blossoms and spending time among the fluttering petals offers a gentle respite and relaxation from the weary daily life. Sitting on the grass to enjoy music and performances, and sharing conversations with loved ones in the warm spring breeze allows one to momentarily set aside the chaos of everyday life. In the evening, as the sun sets and the moonlight adds to the ambiance, the photo zones capturing the glowing cherry blossom path and the full moon create a romantic moment with a different atmosphere than during the day. Especially, the spring night coinciding with the 17th day of the lunar calendar presents visitors with a special scene that will be remembered for a long time.
