About the festival
The Yangpyeong Watermelon Festival, held for the second time this year, is planned as a summer festival themed around sweet watermelons, refreshing water activities, and healthy agricultural products, aiming to widely promote the excellence of Yangpyeong watermelon, a representative specialty of Cheongun-myeon, and to provide enjoyment for family tourists. Yangpyeong watermelon is cultivated in a clean natural environment with abundant sunlight and significant temperature differences, boasting high sugar content and a crunchy texture, and it is loved by consumers every year. In particular, this festival will feature various food offerings and experiential programs utilizing Yangpyeong watermelon, as well as watermelon events, allowing visitors to enjoy the charm of Yangpyeong watermelon through all five senses. Additionally, cool water play facilities for children and family participation programs will be prepared, showcasing a summer festival that everyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy.
