About the festival
The 2026 Korea-U.S. Friendship Cultural Hanma-Hall will be held from October 24 (Saturday) to 25 (Sunday), 2026, in front of the K-55 main gate at the Shinjang Shopping Mall area in Pyeongtaek. This event is a representative local festival of Pyeongtaek aimed at promoting cultural exchange and friendship between Korea and the United States. The main operating hours are from 1 PM to 8 PM on both days. The event is largely divided into experiential booth programs and stage programs, with booth programs including an English Festa Zone where participants can learn English through experience, a Korea-U.S. Food Experience Zone where attendees can taste foods from both countries, and a Korea-U.S. Cultural Experience Zone where participants can directly experience the cultures of both nations. The stage program includes an opening ceremony, congratulatory performances, and stage events. Notably, this event will feature diverse content themed around hamburgers and budae jjigae, which are representative foods of the Shinjang Shopping Mall. The 'National Korea-U.S. Burger Contest: Find the Taste of Songtan!' will be held for the first time this year, showcasing various hamburgers that reflect the characteristics of the Shinjang area, and a competition to highlight the taste and appeal of the region's representative burgers. This event is designed as a festival where not only Pyeongtaek citizens but also members of the Juhanmi-gun and their families, as well as local residents, can participate together to understand each other's cultures and share friendships.
