About the festival

The 'Life, Peace, Coexistence Global Writers Network' will be held from March 27 (Friday) to March 29 (Sunday), 2026, at Camp Greaves in the DMZ, the site of division, to form a literary discourse on democracy and peace and to facilitate literary connections and exchanges among writers worldwide. This event will discuss literary responses from global writers to global wars and conflicts. Above all, by holding this event in the DMZ, the world's only divided ceasefire area, we aim to share the language of democracy and peace among global literary figures through profound dialogues and exchanges of writers resisting war, conflict, hatred, and discrimination, drawing the world's attention. We seek to walk the path of literary practice oriented towards life, peace, and coexistence, together with Korean and world literature to overcome the division system and ease tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
