About the festival
The 2026 Namdo K-Garden Festival is a night garden festival held in Yeomun Cultural Street and Yeosu Municipal Tourist Plaza in Yeosu-si. The theme of the festival is "Seom Pumeun Yeosu Bamjeongwon," and the event will take place from September 11 to October 31, 2026, lasting a total of 51 days. The festival aims to utilize the spatial characteristics of the old city by linking gardens and night scenery, providing opportunities for citizens and tourists to enjoy garden culture. Approximately 40 gardens will be created at the venue, including representative gardens, artist gardens, and citizen participation gardens, operating as spaces that can be viewed both day and night through various plants and landscape arrangements. At night, lighting effects will be applied to highlight the garden's scenery and provide a viewing environment linked to Yeosu's night tourism resources. During the event period, various programs will be operated, including garden explanation programs, cultural performances, experience programs, and citizen participation programs, along with programs linked to local commercial districts and tourism resources. The 2026 Namdo K-Garden Festival is an event aimed at promoting the spread of garden culture and revitalizing the old city, establishing the foundation for Yeosu as a garden city. It aims to promote the sustainable spread of garden culture by utilizing local cultural and tourism resources through a garden festival that citizens and tourists can participate in and enjoy together.
