About the festival

The representative chamber music series 〈Seoga Concert〉 at Gyeonggi Art Center, where books meet classical music, is a new performance content that reads literature through music and listens to classics as stories. In 2026, the stage will be themed around the classic detective novel 'Sherlock Holmes'. Historical mystery novelist Jeong Myeong-seop will host the event, sharing interesting behind-the-scenes stories and the historical background of Arthur Conan Doyle and the creation of 'Sherlock Holmes' in an easy and entertaining manner. The chamber music performance that expresses the atmosphere and scenes of the work adds to the immersive experience, making it feel like reading a detective novel. The performance reinterprets Sherlock Holmes' sharp deductions and the atmosphere of Victorian London through classical music, providing a special experience where literature and music expand each other's emotional impact. Even if you haven't read the book, you can understand and enjoy the work through the performance alone, and for those who have already encountered the novel, it offers a chance to meet the masterpiece from a new perspective. This performance is enjoyable for everyone, from mystery novel enthusiasts to classical music beginners and family audiences, without any burden.
