About the festival

The historical story of Jeongjodae-King, 'If you don't get drunk, you can't go back!' returns with an enriched Season 2 of the King's Night Market 〈Bulchwimugwi〉. From October 10 to 31, 2026, every Saturday, this night market will unfold over four sessions in the area of Suwonnammun-Market, combining the history and culture of traditional markets with food, performances, and experiential content for a stay-type night festival. The existing event space has been expanded to include car-free streets and market arcades, allowing visitors to freely explore the market and enjoy the festival. The festival features a food space operated directly by market merchants called 'Nammunjangteo' and an outdoor dining area 'Yajangma-Hall', where a variety of foods can be found, including food trucks. Additionally, there will be game-like programs where participants explore the market, complete missions, and elevate their status, along with citizen participation events. Especially, unique concepts and participatory events for each session, such as 'Return of the King' and 'Joseon Ghost', will provide a different kind of enjoyment. The King's Night Market 〈Bulchwimugwi〉 Season 2 weaves together the historical significance of Suwon and the vitality of Nammun-Market, creating a festival where citizens and tourists can eat, walk, and enjoy a new experience of Suwon's night.
