About the festival
The Wonju Reading Festival is a reading culture festival that began with the 2022 Korea Reading Festival, aimed at communicating through books and sharing the joy of reading. This year's festival slogan is , which signifies enjoying books and culture in local places such as small libraries and local bookstores, rather than just in libraries. It embodies the hope that the main event of the reading festival will be a place to meet and enjoy a book filled with ideas, enjoyable activities, sights, and reading materials. We aim to provide opportunities to get closer to books through lectures by authors Yeso Yeon, Baek Yu Yeon, and Kim Geun Hee, as well as children's interactive reading performances and various performances and experience programs prepared in the outdoor library.
