About the festival
The 2026 Ulsan Outdoor Library 'Picnic' is an outdoor reading cultural event where people read books while looking at the sea. This event is hosted by Ulsan Metropolitan City and will be held in the area of Seuldo Art in Bangeo-dong, Dong-gu, Ulsan. The event name 'Picnic' is themed around 'Seuldoc', which means wise reading taking place in Seuldo. The operation period is from September 19 to October 18, 2026. It will be held a total of 10 times every Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM to 8 PM. The main event consists of busking performances, book talks, DJ performances, pan flute performances, readings, starlight docent tours, and outdoor movie screenings. The book talk program will feature authors Choi Young-sil, Kim Cho-yeop, Ko Eun-hee, Yozoh, and Kim Soo-bin. The films to be screened include 'Little Forest', 'Mungmungi', 'Kiki's Delivery Service', 'Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea', and 'Sing'. The outdoor live performance program will include performances by Gongryong Yunyul, Purple Pizza, Summer Vacation, Shin Band, Lee Young-a, Lee Gi-hyuk, and Gil Gi-pan.·Kim Byeong-jun, Lee Ha-sil·Artists including Lee Jong-min and the S2 Magic performance team will participate.
