About the festival
The 2nd Gangneung Bread Festival is an experiential gourmet festival where you can enjoy the unique breads of Gangneung and the serene atmosphere of Ojukhanok Village together. It will be held for three days from October 9 to 11, 2026, at Ojukhanok Village, where you can find a variety of breads presented by local confectionery and bakery businesses all in one place. The event will feature not only bread exhibitions and sales but also a variety of enjoyable activities such as experience programs, performances, and events that anyone can participate in, regardless of age. As you stroll through the Hanok Village, you can taste the bread and create memories with family, loved ones, and friends, with the festival space being richly arranged for this purpose. The theme of this festival, 'A Round of Hanok Village Following the Scent of Bread,' aims to promote Gangneung's confectionery and bakery culture while providing a space for local businesses and visitors to come together. It is a festival where you can enjoy delicious bread, traditional spaces, and cultural content all at once in the autumn of Gangneung.
