About the festival
2026 Gukgayu-san Media Art Yeosu showcases Yeosu's national heritage and Admiral Yi Sun-sin·A night cultural event composed of the story of Jeolla Left Naval Command through media art. The theme is 'Reconstructing Jin Nam Gwan with Light', taking place from October 9 to November 8, 2026 at Jin Nam Gwan·Gosodae·Held in the area of Yi Sun-sin Square. The media art expresses the historical background and spatial characteristics of key locations through video and light, including the Annals of the War, Yi Sun-sin's spirit of caring for the people, and the voyage of the turtle ship. It consists of media art exhibitions utilizing the architecture of Jin Nam Gwan, the shrine of Gosodae, and the protective tree, along with interactive content featuring AI metahuman Yi Sun-sin, visitor photos, and a stamp tour program linking viewing and experience. The stamp tour is at Jin Nam Gwan.·Tarubi·It will be conducted in a way that visits the turtle ship, and during the event period on weekends, experience programs and a flea market will be operated together.
